Women's Fall Bible Study – Starts Sept 16 – Wednesdays from 6:30-8pm

Join us for community and personal growth as we dive into God’s word together and share our lives with one another.

We will be reading The Women of the Bible Speak, in which author Shannon Bream opens up the lives of Biblical women.

From the shepherdesses of ancient Israel who helped raise the future leaders of the people of God, to the courageous early Christians, the narrative of the Bible offers us many vivid and fascinating female characters. In their lives we can see common struggles to resist bitterness, despair, and pride, and to instead find their true selves in faith, hope, and love, powerful lessons in Christian living. In studying these heroes of the faith, we can find wisdom and warnings for how to better navigate our own faith journeys.

Healing Prayer Training

Healing Prayer Training – Sundays from 11:45am to 1:15pm – Starting September 6 in the Prayer Room

If you find joy in seeing people healed and set free in Christ, then consider signing up for our upcoming Healing Prayer Training where you will learn to guide people through prayer to hear the voice of God. This will be an eight-week course starting on Sunday, September 6 and will be held after service in the Prayer Room from 11:45am to 1:15pm. Praying with and for others can be incredibly rewarding so, if you are interested, please sign up at the Welcome Center.

Baptism & BBQ – Sunday, August 30 – At 11:30am Right After Service

Join us as we celebrate new life in Christ at our All-Church Baptism & BBQ on Sunday, August 30, immediately following the worship service at 11:30 AM!

We’ll gather together for a day of baptisms, burgers, hot dogs, music, fellowship, and a church-wide potluck as we celebrate what God is doing in the lives of our church family. Whether you’re being baptized, cheering on friends and family, or simply looking forward to spending time together, we’d love for you to be there.

Please bring a favorite potluck side dish or dessert to share, and we’ll provide the burgers, hot dogs, and drinks.

Come hungry, bring your family, and join us as we worship, celebrate life change, and enjoy community together!

Women’s Fall Retreat

Women's Fall Retreat – Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27 – Register by September 18

The women of Word of Life are invited to join Pastor Laura as we partner with Faith Chapel’s Women’s Retreat this fall! Come and be refreshed! Join us at Camp on the Boulder, tucked within the spectacular mountains along the river, for a refreshing women’s weekend away with old friends and new. Together, we will take a deep dive into the miraculous beauty the early church modeled for us in Acts 2:42. As we worship, learn, laugh, and eat delicious food, we will experience the simplicity of the Gospel lived out in tangible ways. Come as you are, connect with others and Jesus, and leave restored! This event is for women 18 and older. (Sorry, no kiddos.) Schedule: Friday, Sep 25: Check-in between 4:30-6:30pm. Dinner at 6:00pm. First session at 7:00pm. Sunday, Sep 27: Last session ends 12:00pm Deadline to register: September 18th

Sexual Integrity 101

Sexual Integrity 101 – 8 Week Course – Mondays from 6pm-7:30pm – Starting July 13 – Suite 1

There is freedom and healing from the effects of unwanted sexual behaviors and addictions. This eight week course is intended for men who desire to overcome powerlessness and shame. We will explore biblical truths, brain chemistry, and practical tools that work in daily life.

This course is $15 a person and runs over eight weeks starting Monday, July 13. We will meet in Suite 1 from 6pm-7:30pm. We are aware that this is a sensitive subject, and we want you to feel free from condemnation and know that we will protect and respect your privacy. Golf Classic for Men

Golf Classic – Saturday, June 20 at 8:30am – Pryor Creek Golf Course

All men are invited to participate in a 18-hole, 2-man, best ball classic golf tournament, complete with trophies for the winning team and prizes awarded for the longest drive and best put. Meet us at 8:30am at Pryor Creek Golf course for a day of sunshine and friendly competition!

This is an excellent opportunity to invite a friend and share the gospel with them in a low pressure and fun enviornment.

All Church Hike

SATURDAY, JUNE 13 – MEET AT CHURCH AT 8AM

Fellowship in the great outdoors! Hit the trail with us on Saturday, June 13 for a hike along beautiful Lake Fork Trail. We will meet at Word of Life at 8am before caravanning up to the trail head.

We’re planning on a full day, so be sure to pack snacks and a sack lunch, sunscreen, bug spray, and a good sun hat. A sign up form is available at the Welcome Center. We’re excited to see you there!
